Soda many be a young company, but there's over a decade of experience and expertise in the performance industry leading it it's creation. So don't be afraid to give the underdog a chance, perfection will always be the target at Soda.
Our Mission(s)
'Ivory' is not universal.
"Ivory" is not the default setting for skin tones, so why should it be when it comes to costumes? That attention to detail is what sets us from the rest, when selecting costumes for SODA, the decision not to invest in "nude illusion" costumes was consciously made with our BAME performers in mind. Any nude illusion costumes will be made in a variety of skin tones to match skin colour.
Exposure doesn't pay the bills.
SODA supports fair wages for performers. Consideration is given when estimating adequate payment for jobs, naturally there's wiggle room and we can discuss budgets and find compromise but a gal's still got to eat
Transparency
SODA aims to be as transparent as possible, honesty is the best policy after all!

For a girl repeatedly told "You'll never make it in this industry", I think I'm doing pretty well. I decided to begin Chess Casting in 2018 because I want to be the positive changes I wish to see in the industry such as agencies that look after their clientele, salaries that reflect the years of training not just the hours per day worked and so much more.
During the pandemic, whilst the performance industry was paused, despite everything I was able to begin the costume wardrobe, come up with new ideas and rebranded Chess Casting to Soda Showgirls and Showballett because as the saying goes ' if there ain't work, make your own!".
